對蝦養(yǎng)殖中，水體既水產(chǎn)物的生活場，也是糞便、殘餌等垃圾的處理場所。特別是養(yǎng)殖密度過高，水體自凈能力有限，水質(zhì)經(jīng)常出現(xiàn)異常，如黑水臭水、濃綠水、倒藻等各種情況。過硫*氫鉀具有強氧化性，能夠補充水體中缺乏的活性氧，同時氧化因供氧不足積累的有機質(zhì)、氨氮、亞鹽、硫化氫等有害物質(zhì)，達到水質(zhì)治理的目的。

注意的事項，對于過硫酸氫鉀來說一般主要看含量，一般市面上有5%，10%，20%含量的產(chǎn)品，一般都是顆粒的，還有50%含量的，主要是粉狀的，使用的過程中，根據(jù)自己的情況來選擇含量。對于碘來說一般要求就是要避免接觸金屬容器。
